The University of Alaska Anchorage's main campus sits a few miles from downtown in the University-Medical District. Students can choose from a variety of academic programs through its five colleges, including those focused on arts and sciences, business, engineering, and health. UAA also oversees several community campuses throughout Southcentral Alaska. The university provides opportunities for master's degrees and select cooperative PhD programs.
